Miscellaneous Augustine Notes
Following are various notes on people on this site which while interesting are not voluminous enough to justify having an entire page devoted to them. The notes are in alphabetical order.

Elizabeth Agoston - Stayed in Hungary even though most of her family came to the USA.

Vincent Agoston - Stayed in Hungary even though most of his family came to the USA. According to Myrle Augustine, “He stayed in the old country and worked the family farm.”
Vincent came to the USA on August 30, 1900 at the port of Philadelphia, PA on board the S.S.Nederland to visit his brother Fabian in Washington, DC. He sailed from Antwerp, Belguim on August 16, 1900.

Franika (Fannie Augustine) - Came to the USA on January 28, 1900 on board the S.S. Nederland at the port of Philadelphia, PA. The S.S. Nederland sailed from Antwerp, Belgium on January 11, 1900. The ship's manifest states that her destination was Washington, DC and that she came to stay with her brother, Fabian

Gerard John Augustine - Family legend has it that Gerard was a professional baseball player until the owner of the team overheard him complaining about something after which he was promptly fired. Played for St. Louis Cardinals?

Herlina Augustine - She was a great beauty. Round face, black hair.

Isbelle Ben - Full blooded Cree Indian

Jarvis James Carden - Murdered in an armed robbery while driving his taxi cab. It was a Yellow Cab #72.

Thor Foy Carden - Where did the name “Thor” come from? Thor’s mom was reading a book by Thor Hyerdahl while recuperating from Thor’s birth. In the back fly leaf she wrote that she was considering naming Thor either Thor Foy or Thomas Michael. Foy comes from his father’s grandmother’s maiden name.

Fabian Arthur Dove & Marie Eleanor Dove were apparently given into the care of their father after a difficult custody battle following the divorce of their parents. We would love to make contact with them again. Also, it is thought that they may have their mother’s doll collection of which we would like to have photographs.

John William LaBohert - Alternate spellings for this surname abound in the various notes. Behren, LeBehret, Boheir, LaBoeheir are all possibilities just as good as LaBohert.
