PFC Fabian James Augustine

After five attempts at enlistment, PFC Augustine was accepted for Army service in July 1944 at the age of 20. He was sent overseas three months later and died the following January in Germany. A Maryland Park high school graduate, he also studied drafting in Bladensburg high school. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fabian L. Augustine, 500 block Sixty-ninth St., Seat Pleasant.

Killed in action on January 31, 1945, in Hofen, Germany, Company B, 47th Regiment, 9th Infantry Division, PFC. FABIAN J. AUGUSTINE, U.S.A., beloved son of Fabian L. and Frances G. Augustine of Seat Pleasant, Md.; brother of Mrs. Frances Mr. Haskins, Bloomfield, N.J., and Mrs. Marjorie C. Parker, of Seat Pleasant, Md. Remains resting at the Timothy Hanlon funeral home, 641 H St. NE. Notice of funeral later.
